Beef Bulgogi

Beef Bulgogi

Pieter still new to this whole Beef bulgogi world, as for me I have tried it many times. Yesterday was my 1st attempt to make my own Beef bulgogi and he was really amazed with the final result.
Bulgogi is one of Korea's most popular beef dishes. It is made from thinly sliced sirloin or another prime cut of beef. I used lean beef terderloin, marinated for 2 hours to enhanced the flavor and tenderization.

I usually eat this with chili, kimchi then wrap in lettuce but since this is new to Pieter I cooked rice to pair the meat. This dish is best serve with a pair of rice as well.

Beef Bulgogi

beef bulgogi - serves 2
400g lean beef terderloin, thinly sliced
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tsp grated ginger
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
3 green onions, chopped diagonally
  • In a medium bowl add sesame oil, sugar, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and pepper. Whisk until combined. Toss in meat, cover and set in the fridge for 2 hours.
  • In a non stick frying pan over medium heat, cook meat until desired doneness is reached.
  • Remove from heat, toss in half of the green onions.
  • Arrange on top of the rice and sprinkle the remaining green onions and toasted sesame seeds.

That looks very delicious. Looks simple and easy to cook. Korean Bulgogi has always been my favourite. It's also great to BBQ it. I love it with rice too. Thanks for sharing

During Alma's previous visit, I got hooked on her sesame chicken recipe. I thought nothing could taste better than this. I was wrong hehe... Alma once again outdid herself with this delicious beef bulgogi. I could eat that every day of the week :)
